Crappy Charicature

Jorge Lacera did a really BAD sketch of me yesterday, so I retaliated by doing an awfull digital sketch of him in illustrator. I'm not very good at drawing with the wacom tablet yet, so I decided to practice with Jorge's face. Below is a vectored image I created of ROCK LEE from my favorite action cartoon "NARUTO". I was testing out printing on postal stickers, came out pretty cool.

MORE COOL CREATIVE TECH STUFF

Touch driven computer screen. Mindblowing. Soon we could just draw with our fingers.

On a totally opposite note, Here's the new John K/ Weird Al music vid. The whole thing was animated in FLASH.

Sketching at MIT

I came across this digital sketching clip shown over at the WOOSTER COLLECTIVE site. It seems to be a sketching lecture over at MIT. Really cool software concept. I thought I'd share it.

If you thought that was cool, peep the I/O brush from MIT. These guys are genius. I/O Brush looks like a regular physical paintbrush but has a small video camera with lights and touch sensors embedded inside. Outside of the drawing canvas, the brush can pick up color, texture, and movement of a brushed surface. For a more detailed description of this amazing brush CLICK HERE!

He has lots of digital and traditional paintings posted over at his blog Carlos Illustration
